Examinations and Allocation of Credits |
|
The study program of BSL Law Faculty is fully based on the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS). After the student has passed the examination (test) with a certain grade from A to E, he or she is given also a certain number of credits as stated for the particular course. Obtaining credits abroad is an essential prerequisite for the completion of study obligations at the students' home Universities.
Foreign students studying at BSL under the Erasmus scheme are required to obtain at least 20 credits per semester (in case there is no other requirement from the sending institution). The amount of work for foreign students at BSL is stated in the Learning Agreement between BSL and the respective home University. After their successful completion of the work load as contained in the Learning Agreement, the students will receive the Transcript of Records which is an official document issued by BSL, and which states the results achieved in the individual courses. That document facilitates the home institution to recognize the study results and credits gained during the stay abroad.
Foreign students who intend to complete the whole study program at BSL have the same position as Slovak students as regards their study rights and obligations.
